Sculpt Villain

Here are 3 sketches of a skull from different views, front and sides. We did this to learn how to make sure the different parts of the head are in proportion to eachother and the different shapes in the skull.
Next to them are skulls by Van Gogh. You can see how they are from different angles.

Above is work by Andrew Loomis on the face and different angles of the head. You can see how he builds up the shapes of the face and how it is all in proportion. His work ranges from simple outline sketches to detailed pencil drawings of men and women.
My Villain's back story
My Villain became bad the day she fell into a ditch while walking through a building site on her way home from work. She fell and landed into a pool of red and black radioative liquid which soaked into her skin. The liquid went to her brain and a chemical reation took place. She became angry and all the memories of negativity flooded her head. Since then she has been finding the people who made her life hell in the past.

These are my 3 small rough designs for a Villian. when I think of someone bad I think scary face, dark eyes, pointly sharp edges, and an overall general run down look. So I tried to make my villains look like that. Hopefully my final outcome will be someonthing along these lines.
Here are 3 different images showing experimentation with mudbox. On the left is the pinch and grab tool making bumps and dents into the face along with the smooth tool. The middle is the paintbrush tool with different stencils, the thicker you make the layers of paint the more of a block colour appears. The right image is where i used the grab tool making a kind of reptile skin where it lifts out from the head and neck.
My Villain developing from the beginning

This is my developing Villian step by step. At the beginnning I chose a purple kind of colour but then I decided to change it to a more shiny burgandy red colour, to make it look more bloody. I tried to make the face look like a clown and make it seem as though it was being dragged downwards to the floor and saggy. The mouth was kept black. I make scales that came out of the head and neck and make the ears pointy, kind of like a reptile. I think im going to change the lastest image on the bottom right back to the image on the bottom left as it looks more simple but still effective. I think there's too much going on with it now.

These two bars show the tools we use for the Mudbox software. i have only used a couple of sections on the bar above such as sculpt tools, paint tools, and tools on my villian. The bar on the right changes to the advanced tools on the section you choose to work with to make colour changes or enhance anything on change visibiliaty etc.
